I have a secret.

As photogenic as Theo is, it's a lot of work to capture the full extent of his adorableness. Case in point: You know that reindeer games photo I posted last? That was photo number 61 in that shoot. Really! It took 61 photos before I caught him smiling. And then the battery died before I could take another one, so we're lucky that the last one was the best one. :)

You might be wondering what the other 60 photographs looked like. Well, even if you're not, I'm going to tell you anyway!

At least half of them were of the "Reindeer in headlights" variety.

Reindeer Games

While we were visiting Theo's Aunt Erin during our trip to Philadelphia, I noticed that her house was decorated with many plush reindeer. I thought they would be cute in a photo with Theo.

Then, she told me that she has some reindeer antlers from Build-A-Bear that our nephew Sam's Zebra wore for Halloween, which she thought would fit Theo.

Okay, that settled it: photo shoot time! So here is an early Christmas gift for Theo's loyal readers: Theodore with Santa's Eight Tiny Reindeer.

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall the most cuddly reindeer of all?

Theo the baby reindeer
Has a very tiny nose
And when he smiles so sweetly
You could say his whole face glows.

All of the other reindeer
Love to laugh and call his name,
And when he goes to visit,
They play every reindeer game!

Then, one foggy Christmas eve,
Santa came to say:
"Theo, with your smile so bright,
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Oh, how the reindeer loved this,
And each shouted out with glee:
"Theo, the baby reindeer--
I'm so glad you play with me!

Philly Meets Theo

Last week I took a business trip down to Philadelphia, and Rebecca and Theo came along for the trip. We flew from Manchester. Despite a canceled flight, Theo did remarkably well. Here he is enjoying his in-flight magazine:



Theo met a bunch of his fans, including his Aunt Erin, Uncle John and their boys (Theo's cousins) Sam and James (so, James at 3 isn't really a fan, but he is family, so we'll include him here... ;-), the Marks/Barger family, the Nealley family, and everyone at the Clifton Heights office of ProfitPoint, not to mention the various cashiers, flight attendants and miscellaneous strangers seduced by his baby wiles. Theo gives quite a show!
